Jim Maxwell
Jim Maxwell
Winning follows Jimmy Maxwell where ever he goes. That's because winning is what Jim Maxwell does best. Jim made his mark in three sports at Acton Boxoboro. In football, as a Dual County League, Lowell Sun, and Shriner Game All-Star as offensive and defensive tackle. Jim was an integral force in three consecutive D.C.L. Championships. As Captain of one of the finest football teams in D.C.L. history, Jimbo used his athleticism to record 10 quarterback sacks. In hoop the 6'4" center was named to the D.C.L. All-Star Team and the Massachusetts All-Scholastic Team.

When spring hit the air, the pitcher, D.H., and first baseman was a consistent presence as a member of four D.C.L. Championship Teams. He capped his baseball career off with a No-Hitter against Fitchburg, a 5-0 pitching record and gained the win in the North Sectional Championship Game. Attending Yale University, Jim was a three year varisty letterman playing offensive guard and tackle. His senior season, he was voted the team's Player Representative and received the prestigious Coaches Award voted by the Yale coaching staff. Jimmy's most memorable moment was winning the State Championship in Baseball his senior year. "Most special to me are the lifelong friendships that I developed on the playing fields, gymnasiums and locker rooms with my teammates. The common thread, our coaches commitment to the history, pride and excellence of Acton Boxboro Athletics." Jim and his wife Janet, a math teacher at AB, live in Boxboro with their two sons Scott and Ian. Jim is the General Sales Manager at C.N. Wood Company, Inc. Burlington, Massachusetts.
