The fact that Kevin was a four year varsity starter in football, basketball and track speaks volumes about his athletic abilities. Not only was he varsity starter as a freshman in football and basketball, he captained both sports his junior and senior years. He was arguably the finest athlete in Acton Boxboro history. His football performances are legendary as middle linebacker and tightend. Kevin is AB's only three time football and two time basketball Dual County League All Star. Kevin's instinct for the ball and physical style of play dominated the D.C.L. in the mid-seventies. Though the grid iron was his first love, Kevin excelled in both basketball and track averaging in high teens in both points and rebounds, and setting several field event records.
On the fields and courts, Kevin's clashes with Bedford's Mike Elias are still talked about. After being recruited by Boston College, Michigan, Syracuse, Maryland and UMASS, Kevin chose Holy Cross as did his father and grandfather before him. At Holy Cross he repeated his AB feat as a four year starter at inside linebacker. If not for repeated knee surgeries, it is thought that Kevin would have been AB's first graduate to play in the National Football League. Kevin's most memorable moments at AB are catching touchdown passes in 1974 from his older brother Joe. Kevin and his wife Judy live in Shrewsbury, MA with their two sons Curt and Ryan.
