Jon Davis

Class of 1979

Think Dustin Pedroia, think Rajon Rhonda, think Kevin Faulk, think Johnny McKennzi, all athletes slight in stature, but large in heart, spirit and talent. That is in a nutshell AB's Hall of Famer Jon Davis. A high-energy spark plug who backed down to no man, Jon humbled many more with his depth, slight of hand, sporting acumen, and tenacious attitude. Teaming with his brother in arms Derron Barton, Jon wreaked havoc on the diamond and the ice. Jon was a 3 time DCL All Star in hockey and one time in baseball. He was also recognized as a Lowell Sun and Middlesex News All Scholastic; three times in hockey and once in baseball. Three times, Jon was amongst the 20 leading high scorers in Massachusetts, as well as being part of the highest scoring line in the state in 1979. At AB, Jon scored an amazing 86 goals and 76 assists. Jon attended New Hampton Prep scoring 61 points as a post grad and was inducted into the New Hampton Hall of Fame in 2008. Teaming again with his blood brother Derron Barton, Jon was a 4 year starter at Merrimac College. Jon lives in Fairfiled Conneticut with his wife Jackie and 4 daughters, Alexandra, Carli, Paige, and Traci. He has owned and operated a financial services company for over 15 years. Jn's most memorable moments at AB include the Acton Boxborough versus Concord Carlisle hockey games in '76-'77, the Boston Garden trips and playing on jack Hughes 1979 Baseball team and our journey to within one game of a State Championship.
