Jennifer Norton Mehigan

Sister Act II. Jennifer joins her older sister Stephanie as the first sister combination in the Acton Boxboro Athletic Hall of Fame. Only superlatives mark Jennifer's career. The recant of individual acclaim is impressive. But not as impressive as the fact that the AB Girls Swim Team won four State Championships in Jen Norton's reign. During 1982 as a fledgling freshman, Jen set the tone for future greatness when she broke the AB record in the 200m Freestyle. At AB, this is most impressive. She went on to become the four time Boston Globe and Boston Herald All-Scholastic Swimmer of the Year. Jen won three individual State Championship events in 1985. She was a High School All-American in both the 100m and 200m Freestyle and the 400m Freestyle Relay. The Co-Captain of the 1985 squad, twelve years later, still holds school records in the 100m and 200m Freestyle. Jennifer duplicated many of her aquatic feats while attending Brown University achieving the status of Captain and making the All-Ivy Team in 1987. That same year, Jen was the 500m Eastern Freestyle Champion. Jennifer has a Master's Degree from N.Y.U. in Psychology and is currently enrolled in a Nurse Practitioner Program at Massachusetts General Hospital. Jen is married to AB graduate/athlete Brian Megihan and resides in Boston.
