David Duggan

Dave Duggan was tough as nails. His steel was forged under the hammers of Coaches Ed Leary, Rich MacLeod and Jack Hughes. He never disappointed his mentors. David played flat out hard and mean in every sport. He displayed the necessary attitude that opponents feared most - an undying desire for victory. At Acton Boxboro, Dave was the Captain of the Football and Basketball teams. He achieved D.C.L. All-Star Football status twice as well as Baseball his senior year. He was selected the AB Best Male Athlete of 1983 and played in both the Shriners Football All-Star Classic and the Harry Aganis All-Star Football Game in 1983. On the hardwood, he was a feared defender, floor burning rebel. Playing for the White Mules of Colby College, Dave played baseball his freshman year, and football for four seasons. In the tradition of many AB football performers, his leadership abilities were recognized when his teammates elected him Co-Captain of the 1987 Football Team. David is presently working in Washington, D.C., as a liaison representative for General Dynamics Corporation's Maine Sciences Division (Bath Iron Works). David's most memorable moments include being a member of the 1982 State Championship Baseball Team under Coach Jack Hughes and an emotional Thanksgiving Day Win over the Maynard Tigers.
