Cindy Rose Buracynski

My how time flies, and so did Cindy Rose. Cindy's high school coaches Mark Smith and Fran Calore were both unabashed in superlatives when asked about her achievements and character. Cindy stands out in a long line of AB scholar athletes. Her achievements in the classroom matched her achievements on the tartan. Cindy was a four year Lowell Sun All-Star and a Co-Captain of both the Winter and Spring 1981 and 1982 Championship Teams. Cindy's second place time in the 50 yard dash in the 1981 State Invitational Coaches Meet earned her a Fifth Place National Ranking in TRACK & FIELD NEWS MAGAZINE. Her leadership and enthusiasm inspired her relay teammates to the 1981 New England 400m Relay Championship. This most valuable athlete was recruited by Penn State where she was a four year member of the Women's Track Program in Happy Valley. Her time of 12:18 in the 100M Dash in 1983 is still the third fastest time in Penn State Women's Track History. Cindy is a Marketing Analyst in the Business Development Department at Mentor. Cindy and her husband Paul live in Acton with their two children Michael John and Ashley Rose. Her most memorable moments at AB include being a member of the New England 400m Relay Championship with her friends and teammates Jeanne Williams, Kari Fleischaman and Cindy Favro.
