Brian Lucacz


Class of 1987

  Multi-sport athletes seem to proliferate the AB Hall of Fame. Brian Lukacz ranks up with the best. Brian was a D.C.L. All-star in both football in 1985 and 86, and in lacrosse in 1986 and 87. He was an outstanding forward on the hard-wood and one of the more accomplished students to graduate from Acton Boxboro. In 1987, Acton Boxboro's fledgling lacrosse program shocked the lax landscape by winning the State Championships in one of its first varsity seasons. Helping to lead the charge was Brian Lukacz. Brian was a four-year starter and letterman at AB He was selected a High School All-American in 1987. He was named to the 1986 and 1987 Boston Globe and Lowell Sun All-Star Lacrosse Teams, capturing the 1987 Globe All-Scholastic Division II Player of the Year. Recruited by Johns Hopkins University, one of the premier lacrosse programs in the country, Brian was a four-year starter and letterman and Co-Captain his senior year 1992. His skills and perseverance paid off earning a full athletic scholarship his junior and senior seasons. Brian now lives Encintias, California with his wife Mimi. His most memorable moment at Acton Boxboro was winning the 1987 Division II State Lacrosse Championship and the pride he has in his teammates and coaches. Brian Lucazc is now serving his country in Iraq in the Al Anbar Province supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom II. Brian is stationed with U.S. Marine Corp. Reserves Helicopter Squadron. His leadership abilities have never been more evident.
