Class of 1988
Beth was widely considered the finest diver in Massachusetts in the 1980's. The sport of swimming and diving was often concentrated only on the swimming aspect, but not at AB. Beth Bauer changed that. Beth dominated and was the diving darling of Massachusetts in the mid-80's. Her strength, her form, and her mettle under pressure carried Beth in high school to the lofty position of pool record holder, team record holder, Mass State Champion in 1988 and National Record Holder in that same year, when she was name All American. Hall of Fame coach Bob Asquith considers Beth the fines high school diver he ever saw.
Beth took her tenacity and talents to the University of Pennsylvania, where she was team record holder in the one meter 1992 to present. She garnered All-Ivy League honors in 1990 - 1992 and All Ivy Academic Team in 1992. In the summers, Beth entertained thousands of tourist and families as a high dive Sea World show participant.
Beth and her husband Rod live in West Chester Pennsylvania with their three children Sean, Molly and Kevin. Previous to the most important job in the world as a stay at home mom, Beth was a kindergarten science teacher.
Beth's most memorable moment was the experience of being part of the undefeated AB Girls Swim Team for four years. That thrill is unmatched.
